We are excited to meet several of our new campers this Saturday, May 4 between 10 and 3 for our annual Spring Open House at Camp Pinnacle. We aren’t quite ready for summer, but we are eager to show off all of the multiple camp improvements this winter and to point out the many new enhancement still to come before summer!

The flags are flying at Camp Pinnacle again as we reopen for the season!

Come see the new water slide, the new dock, new decks, new canoes, new stand up paddle boards, new row boats, new kayaks, new rafts, new mountain bikes and the new Aqua Glide! Perhaps you can even play a game of Gaga ball or ride a bike on the new mountain bike trails while you are here! We can’t wait for Camp to officially reopen on June 20th.

You won’t get to meet our amazing counselors yet – but we promise you are going to love them! We will post their biographies soon! The magic of camp won’t begin until we are all together but…. It’s nice to have a preview of all the fun you are going to have this summer. Most importantly we can’t wait to meet you!

There is a lot currently going on at camp right now and we’ve never looked better in May. Heathwood Hall School of Columbia, SC is here for a school outdoor program. The Galloway School of Atlanta is coming soon. This Sunday, May 5, we will host the Gnarliest Kids Adventure Race Ever. Over 200 kids will race as teams through 9 different events including running, canoeing, biking an obstacle course and many secret obstacles and events including a Slip N Slide. It promises to be a one of a kind race and a whole lot of fun.

Our maintenance and construction wizards have much magic up their sleeves as we take advantage of the final month and half before camp begins. We plan to add decks and walkways that will add to the beauty and enhance the ways we build community at camp.

We can’t wait to see you all. Early reports from our water slide test children is that the slide is an absolute blast and the water temperature of Wolfe Lake is starting to warm up! The debate still rages whether it’s too fast, too slow or just right! You’ll get to decide for yourself this summer!
