Yes! Your camper will call home once per session. We encourage you to send heart-felt letters or emails. Camp Pinnacle has a NO PACKAGES POLICY. Mail should be sent to Camper Name-Cabin Name-PO Box 1339 Flat Rock, NC 28731. Campers do not have access to computers to return emails.
Camp Pinnacle is all-inclusive except for transportation to camp. Tuition even includes a $15 credit at our camp store. There are no extra charges for trips or special activities.
A packing list is provided for your convenience. Clothes will be laundered, please do not send more than the list suggests. We recommend you send old clothes, as the majority of camp activities occur outdoors and children enjoy the freedom of not worrying about stains.
We’ll even provide ALL camping equipment: backpack, sleeping bag, mess kit, and sleeping pad – saving you time and money.
Campers may take a direct flight into Charlotte Douglas International Airport or Greenville/Spartanburg Airport. Each of our staff will be wearing a Camp Pinnacle hat and shirt, and will greet each camper as they step off the plane. Plan for your child to arrive at the airport before noon on opening day. It’s always best to choose the first flight of the day so in the event that there are delays, your child can still stay on schedule. If your child does experience a delayed flight or a missed connection, we’ll be sure to meet the new flight even if it arrives at 2AM! Most campers will be flying as an “Unaccompanied Minor”. Check with your airline for specific policies. If driving, please arrive between 9AM and 10AM.
