Visit our office and you'll find an energy not found in many workplaces. We share space with Adventure Treks, our sister company, about a mile from Camp Pinnacle, so we can constantly trade great ideas back and forth. We also found that locating the office off our beautiful camp property helped curb all-day Gaga ball playing and stand up paddle boarding by our staff.
Who We Are
We are a heterogenous group of people with some key interests in common; we all love the outdoors, we all love educating kids, and we believe in the power of the summer camp experience to affect young lives. We believe in hard work and we're dedicated to creating fun and growth filled experiences. Please call us (that's why we are here!) Mostly, we want to learn about your child, what makes them special and how we can use Camp Pinnacle as an important building block in his /her future.
What We Do
We focus on getting to know families, hiring great counselors, and creating an incredible program. It takes endless behind-the-scenes work to create a great two-week summer camp. When we aren't planning camp, we rent out Camp Pinnacle for weddings and events, host the Southern Appalachian Science Center for school students, and try to make sure we still have some time left to get outdoors our selves.
Why We Do This
Our mission is "...to provide the safest, most exciting, and most substantiative summer camp experience through our personal attention to each camper, our caring, and our competence." 'Substantive' is the key word; we wouldn't be doing this if it were only fun and games. Please read our philosophy. You'll be suprised by how much thought we put into camp while the campers think it's all about having a lot of fun!

Working With Us
Counselors are hired for their ability to be outstanding role models as they teach a variety of outdoor skills and foster a close community. We have an extensive hiring process, and we've found it to be the best way to build an outstanding team. This process includes three interviews, thorough reference and background checks, and hours of quality conversation. Most of our counselors were former Adventure Treks students, have been with us for years, and have gone through our extensive Leadership Training program.
