Boys Program Description |
Girls Program Description |
Adventure Trek is Camp Pinnacle’s Premier program for boys ages 13 to 15 years old who have a strong desire to build upon outdoor skills introduced in Camp and practice these skills in a true wilderness environment. Experienced, professional instructors direct the program. Almost every night of the Trek will be spent backcountry camping in beautiful wilderness areas in western North Carolina and Tennessee. The trek is divided into three main segments: backpacking, rock climbing, and whitewater boating. Participants who have completed past Adventure Treks have clearly gained new appreciation for the wilderness experience and have become deftly proficient in many skill areas. Our backpacking trip is over 50 miles long in rugged mountains with changing weather conditions. A strong desire to enroll in the program and a good attitude are important. If you are planning on going with us, just a few weeks of regular aerobic exercise (running, swimming, etc.) along with a healthy diet will be a great jump-start to the program.
